Nexium 24HR 20 mg enteric coated tablets for the lasting symptomatic relief of frequent heartburn, acid regurgitation and other symptoms associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is one tablet a day. - Do not take more than this recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) a day, even if you don't feel an improvement immediately. - You may need to take Nexium 24HR for a few days before experiencing the full effect. - Nexium 24HR should be taken for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. - Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel better while taking Nexium 24HR. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor. Further examination may be required.
Always read the label, use only as directed. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you: nausea or vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, headache, wind, stomach pain, skin rash, itchy skin, dizziness or dry mouth. These side effects are usually mild. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. Some medicines may interfere with Nexium 24HR. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant unless your doctor says so. Ask your doctor about the risks and benefits involved. I think the other day I was eating a lot of red meat, like some of the meat on the label (this had the odd bite of meat). My kid’s tummy upset was bothering me and I’m never gonna eat anything that bad. I was just taking some of the things I was eating that day. I don’t have any of the stomach upset things that I get from eating a lot of meat. I did have some stomach pain but it wasn’t bothering me. I think it was the acid. I have been taking 20mg of Nexium 24hr for 14 days now for acid regurgitation. It does help with the burning. I haven’t had this side effect in years. I’m not sure why I’m getting this upset stomach, but it’s the pain. I had a bit of a cough and a bit of a runny nose. I got a bit of a scab, but nothing that I thought I would ever need to get over, because I wasn’t on any of the other treatments. I was on Nexium for 14 days. Now it’s gone and I don’t think I have any of the symptoms that I did not get on a full stomach (the pain was just the tummy upset). I have no symptoms at all. I had no acid reflux symptoms, just headaches and a bit of a heartburn. The only thing that I know about it is that the acid gets to me, and I have to stop taking it. I don’t think I have to take it every day or any week. I don’t think it helps with the acid reflux. I can go back to eating something healthy. I can eat the right things. I can take the right medicine. I can eat what I want. I can take it when I go out. I can take it when I go in or out of the house. I can take it when I go out or in the car, or in the parking lot.
